An experienced biomedical researcher with a multi-disciplinary educational background. I am interested in translational biomedical research that positively impacts human health. Medical training has provided a strong foundation for my understanding of human physiology and disease processes and sparked my interest in basic research. As a biomedical engineer, I have applied experimental and computational methods to problems in neuroscience and hearing research. As a computational biologist and data scientist at the Broad Institute, I co-invented a low-cost, high-throughput gene expression assay to generate millions of drug-response profiles. My current research focuses on applying statistical and machine learning approaches to large-scale genomic data to understand drug responses at a molecular level and aid novel drug discovery.
