As a PharmD by trade, my background includes a variety of roles in the pharmacy world. Growing up, I spent much of my childhood at my uncle’s pharmacy in London, called Woodlands Park Pharmacy. Always going the extra mile for his customers, my uncle served as a great role model and inspired my path to pharmacy school.After earning my degree, I returned to London to share my new expertise and use my new skills at the family pharmacy. With new regulations rolling out in England, I led the efforts of auditing our operations and supporting the team through a successful federal inspection. I was always interested in law, so this experience grew my interest into the pharmacy regulatory landscape.Upon returning to the U.S., I spent a year working as a retail pharmacist and in remote verification processing before I joined the ProCare LTC Pharmacy team as chief compliance officer. In this role, I utilized my hands-on expertise to oversee and manage all regulatory efforts, ensuring the company remained in compliance with the proper agencies. With a solid foundation in place for standard practices and procedures, I transitioned into my current role as vice president of operations to advise on efficiencies and streamline processes – leading to enhanced safety and quality measures for six of ProCare’s markets across the Northeast.
