Current Role - Data Centre ManagementResponsibility of managing the server rooms in India. Each Fidelity site has one Data Centre (DC) / Primary telecommunication rooms (PTR) and Floor telecommunication room (FTR) on every floor. End users connects to switches inside FTR, all FTR switches have uplink to Core switches inside DC / PTR which has domestic, international and internet connectivity. All IT application systems are also installed in DC / PTR.Role & Responsibilities:• New Data Centre design, planning and commissioning• Old Data Centre modification, expansion and shifting• Capacity Management of data Centre resources• Intelligent Inter rack network connectivity between racks• Commissioning and decommissioning of Racks and accessories (Intelligent Power strip, Locking system and environment monitoring)• Professional cleaning of Data Centre and Communication rooms• Network floor cabling up to the end users’ desks• Data Centre asset management and update, Co-ordination with IT assets for commissioning and de-commissioning• Co-ordination with Facilities team for Power and Cooling Infrastructure• Co-ordination with Security for CCTV monitoring, Access control & Audit• Vendor Co-ordination for H/W maintenance and AMC renewals• Management of Share point website for Data Centre access approvals• Systems, Applications and Data recovery analysis • 24 X 7 handling of alerts, notifications and first level diagnosis• Coordination with support teams, case logging and handling of all incidentsMajor Projects-Noida Office Setup (2015-16), Gurgaon Office Setup/Migration (2017-18) having 2500+ users• Architecture and Design of Data Centre and Communication rooms• Requirements analysis, products and vendors selections• Installation, commissioning and operations managementAdditional Role - Storage, Backup, UNIX, VMware/VDI, DR/BCP Management

The assignment includes administration and maintenance of HP-UX clusters each with two servers being used as File Servers with XP512 SAN storage, Netapp FAS980C, F960C NAS storage, Netapp Nearstore R200 & TIVOLI Backup Administration on IBM RS6000 & IBM x346 servers connected to IBM 3584 Library systems as Primary and Secondary backup system.Role & Responsibilities:• Creation, Deletion of shares & luns and Space management for NAS and SAN storage• Tuning of Kernal parameters of HP-UX system serving SAN storage to users to withstand the increase in load.• Installation of Patches/Operating system upgrade on IBM RS6000 and HP9000/800 family servers• Firmware upgrade and Extension of Tape Library systems• Vendor Co-ordination for H/W maintenance of the Server, Storage, Backup Devices and other Peripherals involved in the setup.• Responsibility of BACKUP/RESTORE of all the user’s data of the site through TIVOLI BACKUP SOFTWARE• DRP responsibility of all site data on Central Storage and Local Storage• Sync of Primary & Secondary storage (960C, 980C to Nearstore R200)Major Projects (2005-2006) - Site migration Noida to Greater Noida• Complete Storage and Backup Infrastructure migration

INCOME TAX DATABASE SITE – DelhiClient: Department Of Income TaxDuration: NOV 2003-JUNE 2004The project included the installation of HP rp7410 Servers with EVA5000 for the storage of oracle database pertaining to Income Tax Return and PAN Numbers; Data Protector backing this on MSL6060 tape library for recovery and after it management of operations, monitoring and maintenance of this infrastructure.Role & Responsibilities:• Creation, deletion and maintenance of Volume groups, Logical volumes• Tuning of Kernel parameters to withstand the increase in load.• Responsibility of taking system backup, offline database backups• Installation of Patches/Operating system upgrades for increasing system performance.• Maintaining the RSP to maintain the maximum uptime.• Management of SAN storage and monitoring through san appliance• Creation and managing User Accounts • H/W maintenance of the Server, Storage, Backup Devices, Network Devices and other Peripherals involved in the Project.PASSENGER RESERVATION SYSTEM – DelhiClient: Indian RailwaysDuration: JUNE 2001-JUNE 2004It included maintenance of the very critical site of railways Reservation system, PRS – Delhi. This site was having five OpenVMS/Alpha ES/DS systems in a cluster with Compaq SCSI storage and customized backup solution on DLT tape drives.Role & Responsibilities:• Upgrading the Cluster systems OS and Installation of Patches• Installing/Customizing various Layered products including TCPIP, DEC products.• Implementation and Management of Volume Shadowing across the cluster for critical data packs.• Tuning of cluster to withstand the load changes.• Developing command procedures in VMS using DCL for various activities• Providing Trainings on Administration/User Level• Creation and User Accounts management • H/W maintenance of the Alpha, VAX, Raid Array Backup Devices, Network Devices and other Peripherals• Remote support to other PRS sites.
