Compliance Risk and Audit Risk Systems

Developed 2 key products for the Due Diligence Operations team that resulted in significant operational and head count efficiencies. Hands-on leadership in Java using Hibernate, Spring, Jquery, Bootstrap and Oracle. Built a JMS/XML api into the case management system with partner teams across the client onboarding organization. Instituted semi-agile processes. Developed the strategy and product roadmap. Instituted required technical capability in the technology team (credit risk), resolving architecture and design issues, and setting realistic expectations with the business teams. Hands-on evaluation of AngularJS resulted in recommendation that team did not have skills to support the technology in given timeframe. Contributed to several modules of the application – involved coding with JQuery, Ajax, SpringMVC, Hibernate, Spring, Oracle.Led a key regulatory (Dodd Frank / HOEPA) driven initiative requiring management of 6 loan origination system teams, the vendor, and Retail, Correspondent, and Rural Housing lines of businesses, to an on-time delivery of the project. Required deep analysis of vendor’s xml api to ensure changes being proposed followed best practices – such as being backwardly compatible. Developed innovative approach to automate testing of the vendor API.Led the effort to bring key business critical applications into compliance with the company's risk, controls, and operational agenda. Covered areas including data privacy, resiliency, application security, and change management. Managed several vendors of Loan Origination systems to ensure adherence with corporate and LOB resiliency and control agenda. Built 3 year roadmaps for systems, an initiative requiring coordination of complex technology decisions including management of a 50+Tb database and a data center build out to support sustained resiliency requirements.Chaired the Business Intelligence Technology Subject Area community under the Firmwide Architecture group.

 Led the planning, architecture and development of the next generation product (ADSDAQ) for ContextWeb. This product went live in 2007, was met with overwhelming response, and won AdTech’s Best B2B Transaction Web Site 2007 award.  Hands-on management of upgrade of the software architecture for the portal  Built API using REST and SOAP based Web Services for the ADSDAQ platform. Assisted with vendor selection and technical oversight of outsourced projects allowing the company to scale on parallel development tracks. Implemented organizational structure, built the development team, and instituted conventional and agile development methodologies (Rally, MS Project server, Jira, Wiki).

 Salvaged and enhanced the icarz e-commerce portal product resulting in an order of magnitude increase in the number of clients / transactions / users (PHP, Mysql, VB). Developed an enterprise ready product using a new offshore partner, requiring management of multiple remote teams. This product was a key contributor to a successful engagement with True Value (MS Project, Java, Spring, Hibernate). Implemented a custom reporting and business intelligence platform. Established a partnership with Inetsoft, a J2EE and reporting tool vendor (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate).

 Developed strategy and plan to revamp the document management system and portal for the Fixed Income Research Group (Citigroup Fixed Income; 4 months) (Documentum). Isolated architectural problems and recommended upgrades to the email systems (JP Morgan Chase). Facilitated workflow improvements and cost reductions for the Nymex portal website (New York Mercantile Exchange; 9 months) (J2EE). Hands-on leadership in full-lifecycle J2EE project for Hallmark. Resulted in “Hallmark Memories” - a state of the art photo album creation web application (Hallmark; 13 months) (J2EE, Struts, Oracle). Provided J2EE architecture assessment and recommendations for DJIndexes.com resulting in order of magnitude increase in response time for web requests (Dow Jones Indexes; 2 months) (J2EE). Developed unique integration architecture to couple Moody’s research platform with e-commerce. This platform is a key driver for Moody’s online business (Moody’s Investors Service; 12 months) (Domino, Lotus Notes, IIS, ASP, Sybase). Developed technical architecture strategy for merging of Prudential.com and PruFn.com websites.
