Group General Counsel at DEN a conglomerate of around 150 JVs. The lead business being MSO Cable distribution business. Also into broadband, Tele-retail (Snapdeal JV) & owned a football team Delhi Dyanamos. Issues handled range from handling of complex contracts, M&A, litigations, sports laws, taxation , Regulatory and Compliance.Prior to DEN lead Litigation, IPR & Customer Service in Samsung . Took the challenge of a new sector and blessed with opprtunity of working in a world class global company. In my shortest stint achieved great results in IPR , Customer Service, complex litigations and opportunity to deal & came up with solutions and results. Despite short stint moved on with respect, great learnings & experience.Handled for 1 - 1 / 2 decades - Litigations & Regulatory Investigations for Airtel. Spearheaded the biggest battles fought in Telecom starting from 2001 ( WLL (M) dispute till 2014 all big battles and wars fought in Telecom sector including AGR, Spectrum issues. Also lead airtel to victory in a international dispute with respect to Guernsey License against Cable & Wirelss and ultimately we succeeded at all levels from Office of Utility Regulation till Queens Bench. Also worked on a Big MSA which brought Blackberry to India in 2004-05. Later years headed Airtel DTH, Airtel Money and VAS. Played Key role in driving Industry Level Issues and the OSS and face for Airtel for Telecom Industry.
