Spearheading the commercial operations of AirAsia for a span of 10 years, I led the brand launch, revamped market, and delivered strategic direction to all the Commercial teams and was actively involved in country level PnL and have effectively managed Route Performance to meet the target numbers of Load Factor (scaled Load Factor at 87%) and Revenue for designated routes. I further collaborated with Technology teams to enhance (B2B) value proposition for points issuance, redemption and rewards. As a member of the Management Committee, I make business decisions to meet Company’s objectives and provide leadership to all employees.I headed a multimillion dollar marketing budget and managed P&L by driving the uptake of all of AirAsia’s other new upcoming e-commerce products. I served as de facto Commercial Head and addressed high fuel costs and poor yields. Amongst my accomplishments include scaling the seat capacity and narrowed the losses for H2 FY 2018-19. I also contributed to the integrated marketing structure for the AirAsia group spanning 15 countries.Amongst my major accomplishments of this role include business restructuring of the marketing team and restructuring AirAsia in Indonesia & Singapore. Under my leadership, AirAsia got the recognition as the Most Preferred LCC carrier in Indonesia and the Best Foreign LCC in Singapore. I also positioned AirAsia to be the “Official Airline Partner” in association with tourism ministers and directors of the 10 Asean countries for the Asean50 celebration in 2017. I was bestowed with multiple awards, namely - Times Travel Awards - Marketing Excellence (Domestic) 2019, Times Travel Awards -Aviation Enabler (International) 2019, Digital Marketers’ Awards – Internet and Mobile Association of India, Best Aviation Marketing Campaign 2018, and Best International LCC 2018 by Times group.

At Somnia, I essayed a stellar role in building an offshore marketing team for Somnia Inc., USA. I planned digital marketing strategy and optimized highly-effective digital marketing campaigns, with the goal to increase customer base and engagement levels. I gained success in transitioning 90% of all marketing and digital functions to India. I also played a pivotal role in setting-up of India solution centre for WR Grace (USA) for Chromatography products.
