I'm a Ph.D. candidate at Utrecht University, my research is focused on the mode of action of lipid-targeting Antibiotics and structural characterisation of bacterial lipids ( small molecules) and PolyQ protein, implicated in Huntington’s disease . My expertise lies in the application of advanced analytical techniques with primary focus on NMR and ITC. I have a solid foundation in operating high- and low-field (1200 MHz to 400 MHz) Bruker solid/solution NMR spectrometers, and have extensive experience in slow and fast MAS ssNMR on spin half and quadrupolar Nuclei. My routine work involves, 1H-detected multidimensional NMR, pulse sequence optimization, and the study of biologically relevant molecules, such as lipids and proteins in near-physiological conditions. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, as well as the calibration and operation of Phoenix/Bruker NMR probes. My hands-on experience extends to a wide range of spectroscopic instruments, including UV, FL, Mass, IR, HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, Flash Chromatography, and calorimetry (ITC) techniques. In addition to my technical skills, I am well-versed in lipid biochemistry, protein/drug purification, and isotopic labeling techniques using bacterial culture. My ability to integrate diverse analytical approaches with biological systems enables me to provide valuable insights into complex biochemical processes. Moreover, I bring valuable soft skills to the table, including leadership, time management, problem-solving, and effective communication. My experience of working in diverse, multicultural settings has honed my ability to navigate complex challenges and foster collaboration across borders. I am confident that my technical expertise in NMR, combined with biophysical characterisation techniques across interdisciplinary fields, will turn my next project into success.
