Grew up in a family of doctors. Thought I'd get away from it by getting a consulting job out of college. But even though I did some interesting stuff in tech, manufacturing, and even a stint at one of the biggest food companies, something pulled me back in. I went to KP, and then to Optum, and now twenty years later, I'm definitely a health care person.I've worked in almost every part of health plans and providers - operations, sales, marketing, tech, and program management, and strategy. The throughline is member and patient engagement. How to get individuals to seek care with your organization, how to you engage them, how to serve and treat them, and how to address their total needs. That's why I love my current job so much. Addressing social care is how you make people healthy.
