Raj provides expert advisory services through his independent Audit Quality Consultancy practice. Amongst other services Raj specialises in audit and assurance standards (including regulatory and litigation support), professional ethics and independence requirements for auditors, independent quality assurance reviews of audit files (including performing root cause analysis of negative audit findings) and quality assurance reviews of Systems Of Quality Management (SoQM) to comply with ASQM1. He has over 33 years’ experience and is a fellow of Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and is a registered company auditor. Raj is a member of the Queensland Audit Office (QAO) Audit Quality Committee and a member of the CAANZ Quality Assurance Review Team.Raj was previously a Senior Manager at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) leading ASIC’s financial reporting surveillances and audit inspections. Prior to this Raj held senior financial audit and senior audit policy related roles at the QAO.
