As a Technical Architect, I designed VDI solutions leveraging Citrix and Microsoft technologies also incorporating application delivery and user environment management. I provided governance and helped define processes for the management of VDI environments. I am results driven and provided consultancy and assistance to ensure successful completion of projects in a timely and cost effective manner. I worked closely with clients to help define their enterprise strategy for VDI and EUS.Key Achievements:• Designed a VDI solution and orchestrated its deployment for a client in SE Asia with 4000+ seats across multiple data centres and accessed from 10 countries. Created architectural artefacts and bill of materials.• Designed a DR solution and processes for VDI to meet the client’s Business Continuity requirements. Created technical recovery processes and corresponding documents.• Conducted calls on VDI governance with VP and CTO in client organisation.• Consultancy and expert support on high priority incident resolution and remediation programmes.• Helped a client consolidate workspace and reduce costs by designing a Kiosk style VDI implementation using Zero clients for their mobile workforce in branch offices.• Helped reduce maintenance and support costs by developing a VDI roadmap for keeping the environment evergreen. Provided consultancy and architectural support for the upgrade of the VDI environment and migration from Windows XP to Windows 7.

In this position, I led a team responsible for the assessment of application virtualisation technologies like Microsoft App-V, Citrix XenApp and Vmware ThinApp for the development of CSC’s standard offerings and maintaining best practices on their use. Our team provided consultancy to other teams within CSC on the design of VDI and virtual application delivery.Key Achievements:• Supported sales and new business efforts by designing and setting up various Proof of Concept environments for VDI in Australia.• Performed an assessment of various application delivery and user environment management technologies for CSC’s VDI offering.• Led a team maintaining best practices and providing support to other teams within CSC on the use of App-V and XenApp and user environment management solutions like AppSense.• Worked on the development of CSC’s global standard offering for VDI and maintained a roadmap on various components of the offering.

As a Global SOE Engineer, I developed and maintained a global desktop SOE framework which was leveraged by regional SOE teams for developing Windows XP and Windows 7 SOEs for their respective clients. I was also responsible for the review of all enterprise applications included in the global engineering SOE.Key Achievements:• Reviewed all application binaries and documentation provided with the global engineering SOEs for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7• Provided technical support to regional SOE teams in CSC on SOE customisation, application packaging, driver integration and other aspects of SOE development.

I was responsible for the SOE development, application packaging and application deployment for various clients of CSC.

My responsibilities in this role included administration of the Desktop Management Suite for GIO Australia which included software distribution and inventory collection.

I worked as a contractor for JM Consulting providing desktop support to GIO Australia.
