Alex is a CPA with over 20 years of experience providing practical tax, audit, accounting and consulting services to business, individuals, trusts and estates.Alex’s “big picture” point of view and active personal involvement with clients in a diverse assortment of businesses and industries has given him a unique understanding of how to help his clients achieve financial success. His client base has covered a range of industries including real estate, construction, hospitality, time-share developers & associations, homeowners’ & condominium associations, distribution, professional services, non-profit, and employee benefit plans.Alex enjoys working with others to solve complicated issues. He has broad experience working with individuals, businesses and private equity firms. This experience includes tax planning & preparation, auditing, business consulting, personal financial planning, statistical analysis and other financial services.Alex provides personalized advice to businesses who need help with their accounting system design & implementation, internal controls, and choice of entity considerations. He also provides outsourced and temporary CFO services.Alex began his accounting career in the audit department of RSM US, LLP where he served clients primarily in the agriculture, real estate and professional services industries. He then transitioned to BDO USA, LLP in Orlando, FL working in the real estate, hospitality and time-share group. Alex joined his father Ira in 2016 as a partner in Rakatansky, Rakatansky & Associates.
