• Develop and execute India sourcing strategies in line with Global strategies, to improve service, quality, and Total cost of ownership across Finished goods portfolio with a spend of $20M+. • Manage a team to deliver set objectives across SBU & Cross business alignment. Be the line manager for a team within GSM, India. Secure optimized resource management, Competence development and assessment, drive performance and excellence in the team.• Deliver operational metrics: 5% Productivity, Working capital gains, Fill rate,NPD.• Strategic supplier management: Define supplier / sourcing strategy for sourced product categories, supplier relationship management, Drive supplier development for margin accretion, Mitigate risk via dual sourcing, establishing purchasing agreements, etc. Harness supplier innovation.• Organization: Set priorities for the category & justify/secure resources to meet business needs, Cross alignment with Sourcing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and IT, Support inventory transitions into regional manufacturing facilities.• Make v Buy evaluation of key products lines to determine mfg/sourcing strategy.• Negotiate, implement and manage supplier contracts, exclusivity and NDA agreements.• Risk mitigation via supplier diversity, financial audits, 2+1 strategies & dual tooling.• Provide overall Sourcing Leadership for New Products that will be designed in-house and manufactured in one of our many global manufacturing plants.• Drive Supply Base Selection by ensuring consensus with Engineering, Manufacturing & Commodity Managers to meet the business needs.• Assess Supplier’s Capability with similar parts analysis or through demonstrated process controls on key manufacturing processes.• Develop Sourcing Plan that documents, Early Supplier Involvement, Supply Selection, Risk Mitigation Plans, Capacity Management and Supplier Ramp Up Plans and ensure the plan is executed.

Activities involves developing all commodity parts like Casting, Machining, Forging, Seals, Sheet metal and fabricated parts.• Actively involving in upstream purchasing, Launch studies, compliance reports• Negotiation and finalization of all commodity parts through zero base costing thereby ensuring budget compliance• Participating in make-or-buy decisions. • Monitoring the progress of different APQP phases related to procurement and supplier quality.• Improving the Project contract margin through Negotiation, VA/VE, Bundling and alternate sourcing.• Develop the Margin improvement plan by exploring the Risk & Opportunity and systematically proposing initiatives to reduce the material cost.• Managing and Monitoring Project Risk & Opportunities• Developing the parts from Best Cost Countries.• Contract management for specific projects• Prepare and present the project reports to project steering committee ( FAC -Forecast At Completion, BTG-Balance To Go, Fx variations, R&O realization on FAC) on monthly basis.• Responsible for purchasing QCD on assigned projects and managing the projects within the sourcing budget by addressing the full Bill of Material (new parts as well as carry-over parts) and related supplier panel.• As a member of project core team, acting as an interface between the technical development, Global Commodity Buyers, SQA/SQE and suppliers.
