The purpose and contribution of the Area role in security Function is to guide , coach & mentor the Security Heads in the area and work closely with the Area Director and provide inputs with a view to :--Review Security systems & identify best Practices and areas of improvement-Plan & execute Security Infrastructure requirements - review of Righ risk / High potential incident investigations -Reviw compliance to Fire safety & security and implementation of corrective actions -Review safety initaiatives & conduct Risk assesments aimed at robust safety work practices

•Review and streamline the processes which led to increased efficiency in overall working standards of the Security Department Upgrade the security infrastructure •Emphasis was given on the training of the Security associates to equip them with the required skills •Conduct the mock drills for Terror attack & fire emergencies which helped build a motivated task force•Recruited the Armed Officers from the NSG ( National Security Guards ) and Paratroop Regiment.•Established a strong liaison with the Local law enforcement agencies.

Physical Security, Fire risk assessment, Anti terrorism risk assessments and Training, Designing of security control and command center, installation and integration of technical security features, Formulation of business continuity plan / standard operating procedures and its deployment. Security incident investigation, loss prevention, Evacuation drills & penetration drills,•Took charge of the Pre- Opening property Taj Falaknuma Palace in August -2010•Developed a Security Plan based on the site survey and submitted to the Corporate office•Personally monitored the Security installations proposed after the site survey such as Hydro pneumatic Bollards, Solar powered electric fence, X- Ray Baggage scanners etc•Designed a control & command room with integration of CCTV cameras with other critical security installations•Formulated an effective training Manual for the Security associates after the Training need identification drive•Established processes aimed at loss prevention & Escalation procedures during crisis for the hotel•Contributed two best practices which were adopted by the group & cascaded to the other units•Developed a dedicated Crisis Management Group & customized their training program to equip them to act effectively in case of Emergency•Regularly organize Mock drills for Fire Emergencies as well as for terror attacks / Suspicious persons & packages / VBIED ( vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devises)

•Streamlined the process which resulted in a robust operational environment •I had been entrusted with the responsibility of two Pre- Opening properties to set up and streamline the Security Systems•Conducted a Fire & Disaster management course for all Taj Kerala hotels in coordination with the Port Trust fire services – Cochin•Actively involved in the revision of SOPs & Designed training Programs based on the Training Need identification exercise • Conducted a detailed risk assessment in line with Occupational Health & safety for the Taj Group which was instrumental in the formulation of the Safety Management Manual for the group

•Supported the Security Manager in the formulation of SOPs & Training•Certified as the Taj Departmental trainer and contributed to employee learning•Planned and executed the installation of the CCTV cameras in the hotel•Owned and resolved many theft incidents along with the security associates which resulted in a secure environment.•Worked closely with the Consulates & Embassies during the dignitary visits and coordinated their Security requirements •Coordinated the installation of Access control devises in the hotel such as the Electronic door locking & biometrics
