Worked as a team leader in special application gearbox design like wind turbine gearbox, high speed helical gear box design, vertical roller mill gear box design & planetary gear box design.•Develop small planetary gearbox catalog series with torque range 1000 to 65000 N.m with modular design concept, transmission ratio up to 4000 and interchangeability with major European supplier.•Responsible for all customize planetary gearbox development project.•Participate in the design, validation and certification of 1 MW wind turbine prototype gear box development.•Develop 1MW wind turbine gear box load test set up for full load and halt test as per specs.•Gear rating calculation as per GL 2010, ISO 81400, IEC 61400 guideline for certification.•Calculate KA factor based on the LDD data from wind turbine supplier for gear rating calculation. •Design rotating component for finite and infinite life using fatigue design theory.•Design calculation for the bearing life and shaft deflection using KissSoft software.•Design gear geometry & rating as per the ISO 6336, DIN3990 and AGMA 2005 C95 standard guideline.•Develop mechanical standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance to team members. •Checking manufacturing, assembly drawings and bill of materials of entire gear box prepared by design engineer in Pro engineer wildfire 5.•Doing design review meeting with other department to enhance product quality. Implement design change notice for better performance.•Provide design assistance to project department for preorder stage by technical discussion with client to resolve quarry.•Interact with all marketing braches in INDIA as well as abroad to resolve client quarry.•Having expertise on various CAD tools like Pro-E wildfire 5, Ansys, Solid works, AutoCAD. •Also used Engineering concepts in hydraulic system design. .•Country visited: Germany (Dec 2008), Switzerland( June 2011), Philippines (July 2012)
