About Rakesh Govind

With over 35 years of experience in wastewater treatment, water recycle and reuse, I am the President of PRD Tech, a company that provides innovative state-of-the-art environmental control equipment on a turnkey basis, for a diverse range of municipal and industrial applications. I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and I am also a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, where I teach and advise students on biological and advanced oxidation treatment processes.My passion is helping industries achieve greater sustainability by designing and supplying efficient and cost-effective treatment systems for emissions of polluted air and water from a wide variety of sources. I have co-founded NextGen Septic, a company that markets an advanced, decentralized treatment system to replace the standard, backyard-polluting septic tank. I have also authored multiple publications and patents on biofilter and wastewater treatment technologies. I am always open to connect and collaborate with other professionals and organizations who share my vision and values.
