Rakesh is an accomplished entrepreneur, biohacker and an athlete who has spent the past 20 years understanding and mastering in the art of knowing “how the businesses are built” and “how human body performs”. A management and finance person by education, he began his entrepreneurial ventures by reviving two sick units and converting them into profitable businesses. His next venture was the smooth extension of the market he was aware of but with larger vision. Sumicot, a completely Greenfield project started with the manufacturing of yarns, in just a span of two years the organisation was performing with the double of its initial capacity with manufacturing fabrics along with the yarn. He successfully raised debt funds for Sumicot with nationalised banks and managed the funds with an excellent track record. Sumicot is now debt free and a profitable venture. His vision is to expand Sumicot in retail and take the organisation to IPO with the mantra of ‘Farm to fashion’. Rakesh’s journey to ‘complete health’ started along with the launch of Sumicot, where his focus was to achieve optimum fitness. Starting with running as a passion Rakesh later participated in multiple triathlons. That’s where his interest in Biohacking initiated which led him to complete Ironman Triathlon thrice. During his research on Biohacking for improving his own performance, Rakesh focused his attention on understanding chronic diseases and ageing. He believes with the right lifestyle it is possible to live longer, healthier and happier. It is also possible that we are completely able to prevent lifestyle diseases and age gracefully. 'Decode Age’ is the amalgamation of all that he learned over the last 20 years into business and fitness. With Decode Age, his vision is to make sickness a choice.
