Key Responsibility AreasVendor sourcing, development & Management• Identify, source and develop new vendors. • Manage & train the existing vendor base to meet the requirement of buyers.• Analysis & understanding of volume/ value business allocation on various vendors.• Vendor performance analysis.Product & Design Development • Closely co-coordinating with buyers & designers to understand fashion trends and their requirement. Based on the same, guiding the team to do product development with suppliers.• Identify new categories and develop the same.• Regular fabric & design developments from suppliers.Costing• Analyzing & Understanding the gross margin expectations.• Guide the team to review & analyze open costs & negotiate with suppliers to meets target prices.• Reviewing margins periodically with the team and ensuring it is within the defined limits. Critical Path Management- • Ensure teams manage the critical path to ensure on time delivery of orders.• Weekly meeting with team to monitor & resolve critical issues in production & pre- production areas with buyers and suppliers.Quality Control• Interacting regularly with the Technical & QA team to ensure quality adherence.Training & development of the team• Train and develop the merchandisers to ensure they understand the company’s process map & ensure prompt activity in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Product categories: Handling different categories of products including garments (Ladies and kids) and accessories ( bags, scarves, stationery etc.) Jobs responsibilities:To fetch the new buyers for business growth.To strategies the business policies with senior management and buyers.To manage the team and over see their day to day work. To work with designer for the new product range development.Completely responsible for the business placement to vendors and execution of the orders.To negotiate the cost prices with buyers and suppliers.To assess the vendors performance viz OTS, business placement, product quality etc. Production approvals: To check and approve the RSS, preships, bulk lots etc.To follow the production status with QA and vendorsTo liaise with the documentation department for all the logisticsTo liaise with the account department for payment terms, vendor's payment and other financial planning.
