I am a chemical engineer with a second degree in logistics and supply chain management. I am currently a stay at home mom.Having worked in both packaging and heavy industry, my skills are wide and varied. I have technical ability, work closely with the Supply Chain Department and provide support on the process to the Production Department. I have excellent problem solving abilities and can work on my own or in a team. My report writing, presentation and communication skills are excellent.I was responsible for ensuring supplier quality, delivery of good quality material to customers and ensuring compliance with various quality and food safety standards. I have experience in matters technical, environmental and process. I have also exposure to both procurement and sales.I have developed expertise in the area of environmental engineering as a result of 5 years of work in greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint and SO2 emissions at BHPBilliton’s aluminium smelter, Hillside Aluminium.Moving from heavy industry to packaging was a shift in my field and operating style, both of which I adapted too, quickly. A further move to stay at home mom forced a new shift. I am now ready to re-enter the job market.
