I got to know about dropshipping last year, 2018 from a friend. After researching about the segment, I found a few connections in the industry and got first-hand information about how to execute the same. Following are the highlights of the venturePrepare a plan on how to execute and run the platform. Also, an extensive business model to manage monetary and other resources.Set up the online platform leveraging tools like WordPress, Oberlo and Amazon Web Services.Import products from eCommerce websites AliExpress and eBay to our online store and set up the layouts.Set-up digital marketing platforms to market to our target niche markets. Platforms used were Facebook/Instagram Ads and Google Ads.The whole experience was an eye-opener for me in understanding how difficult it is to run a business. Also, I acquired a new skill in Digital Marketing. I learnt how to attract traffic to the website and how effectively I can do the same. A contractual job to deliver an automated emailing service which prompted customers for feedback. The highlights of the project were,• Generate an email template based off HTML.• Used Node.js to run on AWS Lambda which works as the backbone of the whole process.• Integrated the API Gateway to invoke the Lambda function.• Used RDS, DynamoDB to store the related information and templates.• Implemented SES and SNS for notifications and IAM for operational and security purposes.This project was an eye-opener for me to learn how powerful the cloud services are.
