Together, we accomplished several key objectives that positioned the organization for long-term success.Our team effectively managed a $620,000 annual budget, optimizing resources under the Member Affiliate Agreement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. This collaborative effort allowed us to deliver over 500 successful mentor-mentee matches, expanding our program's reach and impact on the community.Fundraising was a major focus, and through our collective efforts, we raised over $1.2 million by managing grants, donations, and fundraisers. This significantly bolstered the organization's financial foundation. One of our standout achievements was increasing funding for the Grapes for Kids’ Sake fundraiser by 25%, raising $80,000 and setting a new standard for future events.In addition to financial successes, our team worked to stabilize the organization by addressing critical issues in fundraising, marketing, staff training, child safety, and program quality. These efforts secured the organization's long-term sustainability. Our initiatives secured $101 million in contracts and procurement and $21 million in capital over five years, significantly enhancing the sustainability of these businesses. Key achievements included obtaining a $100,000 grant through the Advanced Manufacturing Initiative of Ohio and effectively managing a $2.1 million budget under a five-year agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce / Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).Our efforts culminated in the successful 2013 MBDA Business Center Conference, which connected 40 corporate purchasing officers with 90 minority-owned businesses, fostering networking and business opportunities. Additionally, we played a critical role in creating over 900 jobs by helping minority entrepreneurs access capital, financial management, contracts, markets, and strategic consulting services, while ensuring compliance through legal oversight.Our team’s dedication was recognized with the Century Club Award in 2015 for outstanding performance.
