As director of Scotland's fastest growing furniture retailer this is very exciting period for me. We are introducing the very best of European Design to domestic and commercial customers. Catalog Ltd has two main departments Retail and Contract it is my role to build the commercial sector of the company. I work with a broad range of clients and experienced architects and designers to specify the very best in contemporary furniture for large scale and small commercial projects. I have built up a good reputation with the local design community and have a good rapport with the manufacturers that we work in partnership with. I have achieved this reputation by delivering product on time, on budget, that exceeds the criteria of the project. Having an understanding of the way furniture is designed and constructed means I can bring this experience to any project that I am working on. This ensures build quality and material finishes perfect for the use.I am trustworthy and considerate in my approach to my clients needs. As a company we work well as a team, which I feel is down to good management and a clear understanding of company policy and customer needs.Working in education taught me new management skills and planning strategies. Being in charge of the resources and day to day organisation for over 300 young adults needs careful documentation and procedures and has developed my capabilities as a manager. Also whilst in charge of a Technology Department I had to keep abreast of all of the subject matter which has enabled me aid clients with technical specification and lighting calculations.
