Myvisit.To

The Visit Is the FormatWeb 3.0 – Dictatorship of Art – Education Crisis are three of many possible buzzwords currently frequently used in blogging, art, and politics. These times of change force us to transcend borders and to think boldly about new forms and models of production, participation, distribution, and education/outreach, and to think about our understanding of art and publicity – beyond traditional genres and disciplines.MyVisit.to produces, hosts, and documents (un)invited visits and rumors. People of all ages, animals, plants, landscapes, abysses, opinions, enemies, propositions, ideas, dreams, spirits, events, (art) works, blogs, sounds, smells are sought out and visited. The Rumor Mill, programmed as a widget, is open to all visitors and is interactive.MyVisit.to as an artistic teaching format: In a workshop, every participant will develop and realize a “visit” which will then be advertised, published and documented on the Website www.MyVisit.to by using a content management system. In one-on-one talks and group discussions, the format, conception, goals for the visit, and the artistic realization of the project will be discussed and carried out. Not only will we examine standard exhibition practice, but also question our own attitudes and paradigms.

Preview Berlin Projects Gmbh & Co. Kg

Berlin

With 77 exhibitors participating from five continents, the PREVIEW BERLIN ART FAIR from 19 – 22 September 2013 once again presented an overview of innovative positions in international art. In addition, the PREVIEW BERLIN offered multifaceted insights into the gallery scene and art production in Berlin. For its ninth edition, the fair has opened the curtain on a previously undiscovered location in the centre of the city: the Berlin Opera Workshops. By holding an art fair here for the first time, the PREVIEW BERLIN followed the artistic and creative tradition of the Opera Workshops in Zinnowitzer Strasse, transforming the building into a vibrant venue for contemporary art.Besides the popular white cube exhibition stands, there were solo walls, enabling young, emerging artists and galleries to focus on a targeted presentation of the latest trends in art. Once again this year, the exhibition stands of the PREVIEW BERLIN ART FAIR were supplemented by a wide-ranging supporting programme. In addition to numerous tours and a collectors’ seminar, three panel discussions were held on current topics in art and cultural policy together with Artlink Indigenous, the Medienwerkstatt Berlin and the Koalition der Freien Szene (Coalition of the Independent Scene). In addition to art universities already known from recent years such as the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, the Offenbach University of Art and Design and the Bauhaus University Weimar, in 2013, the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana were exhibiting the promising work of their young artists in the FOCUS ACADEMY.

Förderkoje®

Berlin Und Umgebung, Deutschland

From 1998 to 2005, the Förderkoje® occupied a small space in our private flat. Through the connection of living and exhibiting, a semi-public space came into being with visiting hours instead of opening hours. At times the alienated gallery-hopper could not escape and, consequently, found him/herself sitting at the kitchen table for a talk. Not a "wrong" one as in Chelsea NY, but rather a „factoidal“ gallery in Berlin Mitte...As of March 2006 until February 2008, the Förderkoje was temporarily be moving into the private homes of individual hosts. The type of presentation was worked out, organised and promoted together with the host. Not a „Visitation“ from the Virgin Mary, but rather from his/her „own“ inspiration…
