Currently an analyst and writer at operationroot covering technology, finance and renewable energy topics while studying for my RDR compliant qualifications through CISI in the UK. I am particularly interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence, complex systems and financial markets. I also maintain a hobbyist interest in semiconductor manufacturing process technology. My career began in London in the broadcast industry, where I worked for several years as a technology analyst and manager, before founding an independent technology consultancy which took on various projects across the globe.To further my education, I attended Indiana University for an MSc in Informatics and an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship, corporate innovation, and intellectual property law. Thereafter, I co-founded a technology start-up which primarily designed and developed custom software, servicing clients both in the United States and Europe.I used the COVID-19 pandemic lock-downs in Europe to teach myself Python, first as a means to stay mentally engaged while stuck alone in a flat in London, then to build and expand on this newly discovered passion and to create tools that would help me make better investment decisions. It was also during this time that I decided to put my two decades' worth of personal experience in financial markets and investments on a more professional footing by starting to pursue formal qualifications in the field. This journey is ongoing. I am a fluent in English and German.
