With the recent purchase of the #Polonious insurance arm by #FRISS I am very happy and excited to announce that I have joined FRISS to continue the mission of both companies for a more honest insurance in my new role of Engineering Manager. My immediate priority is to help with a smooth transition of existing Polonious clients to FRISS and continuing to support all clients with the same or higher standard of professionalism that they have been enjoying in the past. Longer term the goal is to more closely integrate the Polonious Case Management System with the powerful FRISS Fraud detection and analytics software suite to make sure all clients get even more benefits and efficiencies and can fight more fraud which ultimately benefits all the honest policy holders (i.e. you!). My mission is to help make Polonious the best Case Management solution on the market, to onboard new clients, and to make sure our clients are happy and can focus on their core business. To achieve this it is important to have a well-oiled and motivated team, and to define and follow best-practice processes, which is one of my main priorities. Apart from my roles of overseeing client rollouts, managing and growing the team, as well as defining and improving our AWS deployment processes, I am also heavily involved in auditing our ISO27001 and ISO9001 processes as a systems manager to make sure Polonious stays compliant and certified.

As part of Polonious' partnership with INFORM GmbH, Ralf is implementing RiskShield-based Fraud Detection and Fraud Prevention solutions in financial institutions in Australia, particularly focusing on NPP (https://nppa.com.au), Credit / Debit Card, Online Banking and Session Monitoring channels.

Implementation of a dashboard view of an insurance claims database for the senior management of an Australian insurance company. This involved setting up Mondrian (an OLAP database) and JPivot (JSP-based interface tool), creating an OLAP schema (Cube) and producing MDX queries to retrieve the data.

- Implementation of a JasperReports-based reporting and evaluation framework for the AZLN project aimed to optimize the daily business of Deutsche Post AG. - Prototypical implementation of a JSP/Java-based application for registering and evaluating the public transport services performed by various contractors of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). - Collaboration on a research project about software aided requirements engineering (KOGITO) in cooperation with Fraunhofer FIRST, Fujitsu, Softlab and TU München (Technical University, Munich).
