I am a highly skilled EMR|HIT Operations Manager with extensive clinical and technical experience as management lead for increased collection of EMR data to close treatment gaps, improve clinical scores and increase reimbursements. I’m passionate about helping others. I thoroughly enjoy researching and creating resolutions to complex problems. I’m very proud of having successfully guided, trained and educated a nine physician, 20+ staff practice to EMR / EHR. After going live with EMR and the attestation for Meaningful Use Stage 1, all nine doctors passed the certification and received $20,000 each for doing so. What made it particularly meaningful was successfully convincing everyone to buy into the concept, ensuring they were all on the same page of expectations and goals especially with quite an extensive practice. Having never done research before, I’m gratified to have been named research study coordinator on the Lung Volume Reduction Coil Treatment Study, first procedure in Texas, to be done. While the physicians conducting the study wanted me, the study sponsoring company needed to meet me and perform a site initiation visit to ensure that I would be a good fit. We were one of the last locations in the US and internationally to get started in the study. I achieved an excellent ratio of screening. After pre-screening 200+ possible candidates, and screening 35, 26 qualified for enrollment in the study. Such a high volume has opened doors for the principal investigator to be someone that can train on the procedure in the future pending FDA approval. I would welcome the opportunity to work with an organization where I could continue being challenged and where my skill set would be utilized to train and educate physicians and clinical staff in the use of the EMR.
