Over the next 9 years, we worked together on various teams covering a wide range of tech. Starting out on the matchmaking team in the beginning, transitioning to a strike team where he provided incredible test coverage, digging into crash tickets and helping diagnose issues that affected the stability of our branches. He transitioned from an effective technical tester into an SDET that was improving our internal workflow pipelines. This covered a wide spectrum of technical domains, from client and tools automation, to internal test tools and workflows. Over the years, Bob gained an extensive amount of knowledge that significantly helped the test and engineering teams deliver quality. From improving our content tool automation to creating API's to interface with our test reporting systems, which was his most recent contribution to our QA efforts at Bungie. Bob created an API for TestRail and integrated it into our automation pipeline specifically to provide better test reporting to our QA team. Bob has impacted both small teams and the studio during his tenure at Bungie and will be a valuable asset to the next team/studio he is part of. He was great at mining the knowledge in documentation and people, many of whom he had never met before, to solve complex problems. Other than sketching broad goals and weekly check-ins Bob needed little supervision and his velocity was consistently great. We were able to use a lot of our 1:1 time for professional development. Bob was engaged, asked great questions, and followed through with actions and significantly grew his skills in the last two years.
