Appointed as a member of the Department of Veterans Affairs Prevention of Fraud, Waste and Abuse Advisory Committee. Charged with providing advice to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs related to improving and enhancing VA's efforts to identify, prevent, and mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse across VA's programs and activities.

•Oversee all Corporate activities related to the detection, prevention, investigation and prosecution of health care fraud; including member, provider, pharmacy and disability fraud oAlso responsible for recovering funds lost as a result of health care fraud, waste and abuse•Responsible for compliance with state and federal regulations mandating the reporting of health care fraud•Provides guidance, oversight and effective leadership to over 100 investigators, analysts and managers within the Special Investigations Unit; ensuring that the Unit upholds the companies policies, practices and values, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations•Oversees and evaluates all ongoing case strategies and maintains a thorough understanding of health care fraud and abuse and identifies instances where the company may be at risk

•Responsible for an operating budget of $411 million, a capital budget of approximately $600 million and over 3,000 employees.•Monitored all aspects of planning, development, maintenance and improvement of transportation in Connecticut•Facilitated an agency reorganization with the goal of achieving a more effective, efficient and transparent business operation

•Responsible for a $53 million budget, the collection of $419 million in revenue and approximately 800 employees•Promoted and advanced public safety, security and service through regulation of drivers, their motor vehicles and certain motor vehicle related businesses•Initiated $10 million project which involved re-engineering the agency’s IT systems as they related to the management of 3 million vehicle registrations and 2 million motor vehicle operator licenses

•Retired as Lieutenant Colonel commanding the Office of Administrative Services•Commander of the Public Information Office responsible for coordinating hundreds of major news and press events involving high profile cases•Commander of the department’s Bureau of Selections and Training; had responsibility of managing major programs within the department including commanding the training academy, the recruiting and selections unit and the polygraph unit•Commander of a State Police Barracks; responsible for all police services for multiple towns and highway within the troop’s geographical area•Supervisor in the Bureau of Special Investigation; supervised Organized Crime Task Force having responsibility for lengthy and complex organized crime, auto theft and public corruption investigations•Patrol Sergeant and Patrol Trooper; member of Emergency Services K-9 Unit and Tactical Team; Field Training Officer and Academy Ethics Instructor
