As IT Manager at a small company I am responsible for all aspects of IT including management, administration, project management, technical development and support. This provides users with a dynamic, multi-level, searchable system which allows them to find and view all available reports in any Windows format (Web Reports, ProClarity, Excel, etc.).• Developed a large amount of complex Web based reports utilizing data from various sources.• Implemented ITIL based Helpdesk procedures and Service Level Agreement in order to streamline Helpdesk service and reduce user frustrations.• Upgraded high risk non redundant infrastructure with state of the art VMware environment including DR site, tape and offsite backups and hourly replication of core applications.• Upgraded outdated ERP system (Pronto) to latest version including change of hardware platform and database.• Performed two major upgrades on supply chain planning application (Logility).

Business Intelligence Analyst responsible for the implementation of a new BI department within the IT department. Responsible for the definition, analysis, specification and development of reporting frameworks, analysis cubes and reports to the Business by use of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, Analysis Services and Reporting Services. Provided with a SQL 2005 Enterprise CD, a server and some assistance from a consultant, set up the entire Business Intelligence framework for Deloitte South Africa. This included installing the BI components, designing and creating the staging and warehouse (star schema) environments, designing and developing the SSIS packages, developing the analysis cubes, writing all reports (RS 2005 and Excel), creation of a BI portal (SharePoint) and set up of user data and subscription capture (MS Access).Created several complete analytic frameworks including; Client Revenue, Exit Interviews, Staff Productivity, HR, Printer Usage, Internet Usage, HEAT Call Logging, IT Operational Dashboard, Timesheet, Leave, Learning and Archived Files.Developed a comprehensive HR reporting framework using QlikView as a pilot to determine the feasibility of using QlikView to provide BI to the company.

Project Manager tasked with the running of a wide range of projects within the IT department. The department runs a projects oriented matrix organization where functional resources are tasked to work on various projects as well as operational duties. In this position successfully completed projects to migrate PeopleSoft from Oracle to SQL Server, rollout of a nationwide Telephone Management System, the implementation of SMS and the upgrade of a major ERP system amongst many others.
