Do you have any idea how much fun it is to run a $50 billion company!”My experience managing commercial and government software product development teams has been excellent training for my job at Medical Informatics Corp. Here, I am responsible for ensuring quality system compliance, the management of regulatory affairs and getting our products through the appropriate reviews at the FDA. Working with brilliant programmers and systems engineers to create solutions is great fun. Bragging Rights: * I wrote a successful FDA application for a complex class II medical device. 2015* I chaired an international standards committee in 2005 the year it published "Using SNOMED CT in HL7 Version 3 Implementation Guide, Release 1.0"* I put wifi on the Space Station. I engineered, fabricated, flight certified, manifested, and wrote the user manuals for wifi access points for the International space station, in 1996.* If you withdrew money from an ATM at a Credit Union or Savings & Loan between 1977 and 1987, you used software I wrote. Personal Interests:I have done volunteer work for Crisis Intervention of Houston, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and local women’s shelters.
