Turning vision into reality describes my 34 years of national and international police work in the best possible way. Having worked for the German Federal Investigation Police (Bundeskriminalamt) in the areas of national and international terrorism fighting, international special searches, speech writer and German Federal Police attaché in Romania and Argentina among others. This German Federal investigation police career was followed by more than 9 years serving for the international police organisation INTERPOL. Starting within the crime areas of people smuggling, human trafficking and child abuse, In 2009 I was appointed by the former INTERPOL Secretary General of INTERPOL, Mr. Noble as one of INTERPOL senior management staff and working for strategic management and the development of public private partnerships. Since then I have developed various new tools, which help INTERPOL and its member countries to fight global crime (Dismantling smuggling networks program, INTERPOL Travel Documents, I-Checkit). Project management, project funding and project monitoring have been part of my daily work at INTERPOL since various years now. Working in international security and especially for INTERPOL is not just a job, it is a mandate which needs passion, intercultural and public private partnership understanding, very strong communication and negotiation skills as well as sharp analytical thinking to make the world more secure. Modern security threats ask for future oriented security responses and I am glad to be part of the INTERPOL family to work on this important goals.I am a strong and energetic communicator willing to speak on a variety of security subjects including integrated policing, border security, people smuggling and on public private partnerships, especially between the international law enforcement community and the private security sector in its various aspects.
