Leveraging my experience in Software Architecture, Software Development, Project Management, and Human Capital Development I function in a multifaceted role within the Albany Medical Center, Revenue Cycle IT Team. I design, build, and enhance, software solutions that support patient registration and financial billing systems for one of the largest Level One Trauma Centers between New York City, Boston, and Montreal.Upon joining AMC, I stepped into the role of Web Developer and trainer to build and lead the group that implemented our patient registration software customization. In this role I was able to implement changes that help insure more accurate patient registration. This in turn provides improved patient outcome.When our teams saw the departure of our Architect and a senior developer, I stepped into the role vacated by the Architect, completed multiple unfinished projects, and made myself the SME on a proprietary development tool I had previously only used in passing. Additionally, I was able to identify areas that need improvement and within the existing automation catalog and I am actively working to correct them. Working across multiple teams I was able to manage the development of an automation system that reduced the time to onboard Insurance Payers and Plans. This led to substantial reduction in FTE hours managing this process and improved communication across several department that are involved in the onboarding process. During my time at AMC, I have directly managed multiple software implementations. I worked with both internal customer and outside vendor to coordinate, review, test, and implement upgrades and new software.

Utilize all prior experiences to fulfill multiple roles across a small team designed to support and improve IT business process.Rapidly developed and implemented a strategic partnership SharePoint application that serves as the touch point between CDPHD and their strategic partners. Worked with multiple departments to resolve security, HIPPA, and networking challenges facing the implementation of project.Quickly acquired the necessary skillset to support, enhance, and administer, an IBM Congo’s Business Intelligences system after a staff reduction. Mentored and supported off shore resources to expand the support of the system. Working with operations and the security team resolved pre-existing operational issues that jeopardized application stability and business continuances shortly after being assigned the new role. I am currently supporting and refining an existing Business Analytics system by back filling non-existent or incomplete process and technical documentation. To better support end users I am working across multiple teams to standup an analytics data store, which will automate several manual processes and provide more timely data, while the systems of record are changing.

Administered and supported CDPHP’s member facing web platform.As the SharePoint Administrator Supported a user base of over 1000 users.Work with multiple corporate partners such as CVS to administer and support Single Sign On from CDPHP’s system to their respective services.

Jumped at the chance to learn new technology after being chosen by CEO to replace Business Intelligence (BI) consultant who provided zero knowledge transfer and poor documentation. Learned about Business Intelligence (BI) through extensive research and attendance at online and off-site training. Took the initiative to learn supporting technologies by investing personal time and funds to get up to speed. Required to reverse-engineer specifications in order to understand end-user and Business Intelligence (BI) requirements.Enhanced views and cubes to meet expanded client needs for advanced metrics. Added new measures by updating ETL process to include additional source data.Currently developing new products for yearly plan performance reporting, which will allow clients to analyze plan data year by year. Designing and developing data warehouse (DW), ETL processes, and multi-dimensional cubes.

Promoted to IT Management by the Senior VP of IT and given the immediate goal to clean up HMO programming department, which had run without effective supervision for several years. Faced with a multitude of issues to resolve: unmotivated team, micromanagement, code maintainability, and disorganization.Mentored staff to rebuild fractured relationships with the goal of maintaining institutional knowledge and professional rapport. Resolved problems with under-performing team due to micromanagement by decentralizing decision-making and involving developers in planning phase to build project ownership. Taught supervisor to organize and prioritize projects, and created individual professional development plans to enable staff to be focused and accountable for their own success.Realigned employee job roles and pay scale with skill level and performance after merger of HMO and Defined Contributions departments, achieving goal to establish a fair baseline. Designed a skills competency process to evaluate employees’ capabilities, skills, and ability to learn. Defined product architecture and led the design and build of applications for content syndication, online training seminars, subscription based e-zines, and e-commerce. Developed an e-learning system and content management system for 3rd party account providers.Spearheaded creation and launch of a new methodology for online data entry processes that was a primary touch point for major clients, including Merrill Lynch, Nationwide Financial, US Bank, and Hartford Financial. Streamlined data acquisition and processing costs that resulted in reassigning job roles for 5 FTEs to more productive work. Framework is still in use today.
