Skip McBride is the former head of the trial section and litigation practice at Bracewell LLP where he practiced for 44 years before retiring on December 31, 2018. On January 1, 2019, he joined The Lanier Law Firm as Of Counsel.Skip is also the founder of Doliver Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisory and Financial Services Firm, which has been managing client wealth for over 30 years, for high net worth individuals, trusts, IRA’s, estates, partnerships, foundations, 401k’s, among others. Built on a commitment to wealth preservation and long-term growth, Doliver manages $500 million in assets for more than 160 clients. With respect to his law practice, Skip represents business clients and individuals in class actions, products liability lawsuits, wrongful death cases, oil and gas disputes, personal injury cases, construction contracts, trust and probate matters, securities litigation and intellectual property litigation. In addition, he has long-term experience in representing financial institutions, inventors, energy companies, individuals, investors, and service companies.Skip received his Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in 1968; his Master’s Degree from Baylor University in 1970; and his Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 1974.Skip serves on the Audit Committee of the Memorial Hermann Health Care System, the Board of Trustees of Houston Baptist University, the Board of Trustees of Camp Eagle, the Board of Trustees of The College of Biblical Studies and the Board of Directors of Blue Bell Creameries. He is married to Lucy and they have two daughters and sons-in-law and six grandchildren.
