Ralph and his wife Faith opened Cornerstone in 1995 after being approached by a developer to help them build a funeral home and they have never looked back. Ralph looks forward to each and every day of work in the funeral industry and his tireless commitment to the families he serves his “calling” in life. Ralph knew at an early age that being a caregiver in the funeral profession was what he wanted. He remembers the loss of a good friend in a snowmobile accident at the young age of 14 and at that time was inspired by the Funeral Director who worked with the school children through that terrible loss. After finishing High School, he entered the funeral profession and graduated from the Alberta School of Mortuary Science in 1985. At this time, Ralph received his license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, and he was honored to have achieved the highest overall marks in the province. Ralph has continued to seek out additional training within the field through the completion of courses in Life Appreciation, Mediation and Dispute Resolution, and Managerial Excellence.Spiritual Purpose;God has gifted me with the purpose of helping families through their difficult time of loss. I will continue to fulfill my purpose and meet the obligations set before me on my path. I pray for my family to continue to share what we have and to humbly care and meet the needs of others, allowing us to grow outside of our organization.
