Forced out of being an iron worker after a terrible accident, Mr. Ralph Cunningham has shown just how the human spirit can emerge strong and victorious in spite of great odds. As a former licensed contractor, Mr. Cunningham used to build homes for Habitat for Humanity. After he was hit by a drunk driver several years ago, Mr. Cunningham took a decisive step to help others instead of just resigning himself to inactivity. In pursuit of greater glory and achievement, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Life Education in 1997. Three years after, Ralph successfully completed his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Education/Counseling psychology at Western Michigan University. Pushing himself to help the world one patient at a time, Mr. Ralph Cunningham became part of Van Buren County Mental Health in Paw Paw, South Haven, MI. Working as a Case Manager from September 1997 to July 2000, he was assigned to family liaison cases. This meant he had to deal with families and their children who were at risk of being placed in foster care and institutional settings. After graduating at Community Mental Health, Ralph Cunningham was promoted to Clinician I, in which job he performed case management as well as one-on-one counseling and group counseling. Presently, Mr. Ralph Cunningham is enjoying his private practice at his own counseling firm. Cunningham Counseling Services in South Haven Michigan has always been managed with the same unending dedication to individuals and groups who seek professional mental health services at all times. Under the expert and careful guidance and supervision of Ralph Cunningham, patients get inspired to rejoin society with a much healthier perspective and better mental health.
