Under Ralph Yarro, Canopy funded the needed $9m to execute the Altiris plan exclusively, because no local money supported the $25 pre money valuation. Canopy held 80% of Altiris at this point. Barely two years later, Altiris closed a pre IPO round lead by TCV at a pre money of $125 million. Altiris went public in 2002 and ultimately sold for $830 million. Ralph Yarro served as original investor, and later chairman of the board.
