Managed and supervised a security force of 222 personnel assigned to the 21st Security Forces Squadron Operations Branch. I advised key managerial personnel on courses of action affecting capabilities and effectiveness, to include facilities, work operations, and processes which impact the assigned programs. I continuously explained reasons, purposes, background and strategic implications for applying security measures and specialized operating practices involving diverse polices related to force protection (FP) functions. I directed security and police services operations protecting 2 Major Command (MAJCOM) and 2 Unified Command Headquarters and equipment valued at $31 billion. I ensured security for multimillion dollar associate and transient security operations for Protection Level 1, 2 and 3 aircraft, briefed base vulnerability and risk assessments, advising Wing Commander on risk tolerance establishing base security posture. I assisted base security managers in implementing a new security managers training for base certification, which was lauded by the AFSPC Inspector General team. I conducted critical reviews of intelligence information for applicability on anti-terrorism (AT), FP and security support programs while analyzing the data to make mitigation and diversionary recommendations for senior management, senior supervisor, and multi service application. I provided expert guidance on all operational and technical issues affecting the aircraft security, police services, and force protection as they relate to policy and procedural matters both physical and information. I was responsible for coordinating readiness training, organizing and equipping Security Forces and directs the deployment of security force (SF) mobility forces by planning, programming, and executing air base defense and AT programs

Managed and administered the Major Command (MAJCOM) Nuclear Security Program, providing technical direction and staff assistance for Headquarters and subordinates units in Overseas Continental United States (OCONUS) areas. Developed and implemented nuclear security policy program. I have written and updated the MAJCOM Nuclear Security Plan and reviewed subordinate element Nuclear Security Plans. I developed and published applicable command policies and other forms of guidance. I’ve reviewed draft Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of the Air Force (DAF) directives, regulations/doctrine, and prepared MAJCOM comments. Ensured command implementation of directives, regulations, plans and policies through inspections, evaluations and exercises. Participated in vulnerability/risk assessments, physical security surveys, and reviews performed by subordinate elements and researched the best methods for fulfillment. I’ve reviewed new construction plans for nuclear and physical security adequacy, advised on electronic security/access control systems and all matters concerning military or civilian contracted police/guards. I’ve advised high level Commander of deficiencies affecting the security posture of the command and recommended appropriate corrective actions. Developed anti terrorism/force protection programs and measures pertaining to the physical protection of personnel, facilities, material and information against criminal, terrorist or hostile intelligence activities. While deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM Imanaged a joint service Vulnerability Assessment Team. I was the sole Air Force member responsible for conducting 11 vulnerability assessments of forward operating bases across Iraq. I personally identified 93 physical security vulnerabilities and provided commanders with realistic options to mitigate potential threats to their bases. I help managed and assess a 4-tier one strategic facilities for the Iraqi government. I identified numerous vulnerable areas in these high profile facilities which significantly reduced the danger to Iraqi government officials. Additionally, I was lauded by the Multinational Forces Iraqi Senior Enlisted advisor for organizing the first Enlisted Call in the International Zone in over two years. Developed and implemented a training tracking and reporting database that provided statistics for attendance, training, incident reporting, monthly evaluations and critical task items. I was directly responsible for writing and implementing the Standard Operation Procedures for Iraqi vulnerabilities in the area of operation which included: Tower Guard, Compound Security Guard, Compound Shift Leader, Compound Security Controller, Sergeant of the Guards, Escort Security Guard, Quick Response Force and Visitor Control Center. Reduced problems associated with cultural barriers and enhanced the complex task of Iraqi civilians and coalition forces coexisting in the same work environment, which resulted in positive team building and forging improved relations

Directed security operations for the largest concentration of tactical weapons in the free world. I provided security expertise for over $45 billion dollars in tactical fighter and airlift aircraft disbursed throughout the European theatre. Developed and directed MAJCOM policy and advocates/influences Air Staff adoption of MAJCOM policy. Developed and issued MAJCOM written procedures or policies, usually in the form of supplements or policy directives, for conditions not directly addressed by existing standards or guidelines related to force protection (FP), anti terrorism (AT), budgetary and programming functions. Implemented security plans and programs, and provided on-site staff assistance and technical expertise to over 2500 security personnel throughout Europe. I conducted vulnerability assessments and site security surveys at contingency locations throughout Europe theater. I managed and coordinated the installation, employment, maintenance, training, and testing of Europe’s $250 million dollar Intrusion Detection System program. He was the key point of contact for NATO and European Command Staff for security criteria for US assets. I analyzed and evaluated laws, regulations, policies, standards, procedures, methods, and techniques applicable to a broad range of requirements sufficient to plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluated diverse FP, AT, and associated implementation programs. Evaluated standards adopted by other federal agencies, services and MAJCOMs and civilian institutions on work processes and modifies them for command application. Made recommendations and decisions on complex policy issues, which frequently becomes official major command policy that affected a variety of activities. Negotiated with other MAJCOMs and governmental agencies to determine proper application of requirements for command tenant unties located on other command installations

Supervised and led 42 personnel security work center. Was responsible for morale, discipline, training and proficiency of forces under normal and emergency operations. Managed security for route sweeps and road assessments for convoy movements covering 3.8K square miles for the nation’s priority nuclear mission. Scheduled post assignments and equipment utilization for day-to-day operations. Prepared, reviewed, processed, and coordinated section performance reports, decorations and awards programs. Was responsible for employment and upkeep of vehicles, radios, weapons and security aides during my tour of duty. Conducted formal military formations, inspections and technical briefings. Ensured force efficiency by conducting post and facility checks, response force exercises and inspections of flight administration and official reports. Prevented 3 likely missile launch facility lock-outs that saved maintenance over 3 weeks of drilling maintenance.
