Did I tell you that I'm scared of butterflies? That's a real phobia that I have, which not many know about. But it wasn't this fear that made me follow my dreams. Before that, allow me to introduce myself. My name's Ralu, and I'm a Brand Designer. I started as a Graphic Designer and worked for a couple of years as an Art Director in the advertising industry.More than two years ago, I left Romania to follow one of my dreams: to travel the world.Surprisingly, what made me follow my dream, was fear. I was too scared of being stuck in the same routine: work, home, and talking to my friends about the same stuff (no hard feelings, friends, I'm included too).After visiting 16 countries, making dozens of new friends, living in over 40 accommodations, and experiencing hundreds of things, I wonder, "Why did I wait so long?"All I needed was a little courage, not more money like I thought. You might wonder, "What does this have to do with design?"Well... I couldn't have done it without being able to work from anywhere, set my schedule, and earn enough to fund this lifestyle.As an introvert, sharing personal things about myself isn't my superpower. But this post is about courage and turning fear into something positive.
