• Plan Audit & Risk Management duties for the week - ensure team alignment for the proper execution as per the plan• Conduct audit & risk management engagements• Supervise Risk & Audit Personnel by providing guidance and training• Liaise with General Managers, Financial Controllers and other relevant Heads of Departments on the problematic areas for the purpose of providing effective recommendation to management.• Assist in updating the audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectiveorganise personal effort with team to be risk based, productive and efficient at all times• Plan and scope risk and audit assignments effectively, sharing recourses, redefining deadlines and ensuring a comprehensive and appropriate term of reference are set for each review• Formulation and review of policies and guidelines for the Carpenters Group of Companies• Liaison with senior/ middle management and division in the planning and conduct of departmental responsibilities discussing findings, emerging risk and actions to address identified risk• Contribute to the development of risk, audit and assurance policies and procedures

• Prepare and maintain companies General Ledger and reconciliations.• Prepare financial statements including Statement of Financial Position, Comprehensive Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows and Statement of Changes in Equity in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SME's.• Prepare monthly management accounts. Investigate explain variances.• Ensure and monitor internal control integrity to discourage/avoid misappropriation of funds and resources.• Prepare, check and submit monthly Value Added Tax returns, Pay As You Earn Final Tax Electronic Monthly Submission Files and PAYE Final Tax payment, Fiji National Provident Fund Contributions.• Calculate and authorize payment for quarterly returns including Fringe Benefit Tax and FNU levy.• Liaise and coordinate with Tax Agents and External Auditors for lodgement of tax returns and plan for half year review and year end statutory audit. • Prepare reconciliations for audit (2 annual and 1 six monthly review in one year) and tax return purposes.• Attend to queries on tax schedules and audit etc. arising from time to time by external auditors and tax agents.• Check and authorize supplier invoices and internal orders for payments processing.• Prepare and authorize invoices in line with custom client based pricing.• Follow-up debtors and visit customers to ensure good relationship in collections.• Prepare tax working calculations for advance tax payment and company financial statement reporting.• Prepare and maintain Fixed Asset Register for Accounting and Tax purpose.• Prepare pay for salaried staff on monthly basis.• Follow up on insurance claims.• Prepare and submit reports to Fiji Bureau of Statistics- Quarterly reporting.• Providing assistance in special assignments from time to time.
