This helped in quick testing of network for meeting roll out obligation by TSPs.- Number of ‘Notes for Telecom Commission’ related to formulations of policies and for implementation of policies were prepared, including the one for setting up of Centre of Excellence for Radio Spectrum Engineering and Management. - Performance of C-DOT was reviewed regularly and as a result C-DOT performance improved considerably and, sustenance of C-DOT became possible..- A unique initiative of conducting tripartite workshops in which security agencies, Telecom Service Providers (TSP) and DOT participated was taken. Under this initiative number of all India and Zonal workshops were conducted. These workshops helped in solving many network security related issues of TSPs and Security Agencies. - First time from India four contribution were made to ITU in Study Group 17.

    During different period of time in-charge GM of planning, maintenance & operation of an area and vigilance in MTNL Delhi.Major Achievements: - As GM (Planning) by revising all cable and building plans reduced the capital budget by more than 35%, thus affecting a saving of about Rs 125 Crores for 2005-06 over a total capital outlay of Rs 350 Crores on these heads.- Dramatic improvement in performance parameters in North District of MTNL Delhi in a short time. For example, same day clearance was increased from 60% to around 95% within period of two months of my taking over as GM (North) and fault rate reduced from 12/100 telephones/month to 8/100 telephones/month within six months. Similarly, financial parameters also improved significantly. Expenditure on cable maintenance was reduced by 30%, outstanding reduced to the extent of 70% and broadband revenue increased to 30%.- As GM (vigilance) Introduced the concept of reformative vigilance.
