By way of background, after graduating from Hastings College of the Law in 1993, Mr. Madison spent 12 years practicing at one national firm and two large California firms. He gained experience working directly on high profile cases for several prominent Los Angeles trial lawyers, including seven years working for Patricia Glaser and five years for N. Denise Taylor. Thereafter, Mr. Madison worked for several small boutique firms, before starting his own litigation practice performing pay for hire, contract, contingency, and legal consulting work for less experienced lawyers needing guidance. Mr. Madison's 24 years of experience as a litigator is extensive. He has written hundreds of motions and made dozens of appearances, taken and defended more than two hundred lay and expert depositions, supervised associates and staff, handled arbitrations, mediations and settlements, and first and second chaired trials. He has drafted successful writs and appeals. He has also negotiated, drafted and interpreted contracts and performed necessary due diligence on several large transactions. He has received repeated accolades for the quality of his research and writing from partners, attorneys and clients.Mr. Madison has practiced in both the State and Federal systems. His emphasis has been business and commercial litigation for Fortune 500, entertainment clients and governmental entities. As would be expected, the cases have included claims for breach of contract, fraud and other business torts. Additionally, he also has experience managing personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, employment, major construction defect and insurance bad faith litigations.
