My story began when I was a kid with a snap-on cape in Bali and a burning desire to change the world. And while most kids have some type of superhero complex when they are younger, they eventually outgrow it.Not me.I have spent the vast majority of my life searching for the proverbial burning building that I would run into and save the day—leaving my mark on this planet. However, stuff like that rarely shows up when or how we expect it to. But more on that later.I got distracted, and I found myself graduating from Curtin University in Perth, WA, with a degree in Business & IT and the impossible dream of one day having my own business.But there was a problem.I was utterly unqualified. I was too young and inexperienced. But what I lacked in experience was I more than made up for the ability to market myself and chase my dream with a tenacity level. And somehow, that was enough to earn my place on stage at various senior positions at different utility companies in Australia.Fast forward a bunch of years later after various stints and near-death experiences. I spotted a gap in the market, and I noticed that energy retailers seriously lacked customer service, knowledge… and prices were too high. Then, I decided to start my own Energy Consulting Company - Carbon Energy.And for the last 8 years, I found myself helping various big companies such as Griffin Coal, Pharmacy 777 & Inmarsat in reducing their energy costs and getting them more favourable contract terms. Until I remembered that kid with the snap-on cape and the burning desire to change the world.So I expandedI started a solar retailing business. I wanted my customers to have the opportunity to save the world. CARBON ENERGY. A one-stop-shop energy specialist works with some of the most successful companies in Australia, who don't want the hassle of managing their own energy cost and contributing positively to the environment.Ultimately, I’m 100% convinced that our customers have nothing to lose and everything to gain by engaging with us. When I look back at my life experience, I see a struggling business we tendered and secured a significant reduction to their bottom line.
