In 2006 I co-founded United Trade Show together with Steve Aoki. United was an instant success with 5 consecutive sold out fashion trade show events spread across NYC & Las Vegas.Prior to United, I co-founded Tarantulas records and managed The Explosion and Say Anything who went on to Virgin Records and J Records respectively. I developed multiple artists under the Tarantulas label including; The Distillers, The Lox Six, The Bronx, Darker My Love and The Static Age. From 1994 to 2004; I ran the now iconic Big Wheel Recreation music label w/ over 60 releases including Jimmy Eat World, Piebald, Jejune, Fastbreak, Braid, In My Eyes, No Knife, Ten Yard Fight, 454 Big Block, At The Drive-In, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and The Hives. In Boston I formed Initech, a single facility that housed friends: Bridge 9 Records, Hydrahead Records & Doghouse Records, publicist Jen Malone & booking agents Matt Pike & Matt Galle.

OwnerTarantulas Jul 2002 - Oct 2005Tarantulas Records was a record label owned by the band The Explosion and manager Rama Mayo. It was officially established in 2002, as an art movement and a protest against record labels constantly signing bands that are merely rehashes of what has already been done before. Its mission statement is to "sign bands that go against what you believe to be cool." At its height, Tarantulas became less a label and more a movement of people across the US sick of what was happening to music and counterculture -- a number of non-musicians (for lack of a better term, fans) identified themselves as Tarantulas, many tattooing themselves with the label logo -- and bands turned down other, much bigger labels, to be a part of the group.
