During my internship with the Finance & Accounts department, I gained valuable hands-on experience in Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and reconciliation processes. My primary responsibilities included:1. Collaborating closely with the GST division to ensure the smooth handling of tax-related activities and adherence to regulations.2. Assisting in the reconciliation of Input Tax Credit (ITC) by meticulously comparing GSTR-2B reports against internal records for domestic and import purchases.3. Supporting the team in resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate tax filings by retrieving missing Bill of Entries from the GST portal.4. Contributing to the organization's financial objectives by ensuring proper management of GST compliance, which enhanced the overall efficiency of the department.This internship provided me with a deeper understanding of taxation laws, data reconciliation, and the importance of accuracy in financial reporting, preparing me for future roles in finance and accounting.
