Life Science Researcher with 9+ years of experience in Infectious Diseases, Schizophrenia, Malaria, and Influenza. I finished my Ph.D. from the School of Science, Monash University, Malaysia (July 2021). My Ph.D. dissertation work focused on investigating the role of host-virus interactions in the Influenza A virus life cycle. I am proficient in basic virology, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and immunology. With 9+ years of experience in molecular biology, and microbiology and 5+ years of experience in virology, cell biology, mammalian cell culture, and immunology techniques like ELISA, western blotting, Plaque assay, Virus infection, PCR based cloning, protein expression, qPCR, co-immunoprecipitation, confocal microscopy to enlist a few. I have also worked as a Senior and Junior Research Scholar at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in Malarial biology. Research experience at BITS, Pilani honed my basic molecular biology, molecular immunology, and bioinformatics skills.My educational background is in Biotechnology with Masters (M.Tech) and Bachelor's (B.Tech) in the same field. My Master's dissertation focused on the use of chromatography methods to elucidate degradation pathways of aromatic compounds by microorganisms. Furthermore, my Bachelor's dissertation at IGIB, New Delhi, was based on the screening and characterization of BDNF GT repeat polymorphisms in the Indian population. I have developed strong technical & research skills throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies and various research experiences. I hope to work with like-minded individuals in the field of infectious diseases and expand my horizons.
