I qualified as MBBS in 1986. I underwent comprehensive orthopaedic training on The RoyalLondon Orthopaedic Rotation. I had specialist training in foot and ankle surgery at the RoyalNational Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore in 1997.I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to Wexham Park and HeatherwoodHospitals Trust, with special interest in foot and ankle surgery, in 1998.I am a member of The British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and have specialistinterest in foot and ankle problems, which include minimal invasive surgery for bunion ,footproblems, ankle arthroscopy, ankle replacement, fusions and sports injuries of the lower limb.I am also a member of American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and BritishOrthopaedic Association.I maintain a keen interest in research and have published regular articles in medical journals.I am Trainer for Orthopaedics and have been on the Regional Oxford Orthopaedic TrainingCommittee, from 2001 to 2010. I organise and Chair the Annual Wexham Park Foot andAnkle meeting. I am invited speaker at National and International meetings and havelectured in the UK, India, Singapore, Vietnam and Egypt. I review articles for the Bone andJoint Journal and The Foot Journal and lecture on the MSc course at Dundee University. Iremain active in clinical Foot and Ankle surgery both in the NHS and private practise. Since1998 I have carried out over 10,000 foot and ankle operations.I was Chairman for the Medical Staff Committee, Orthopaedic Sub-Committee and ClinicalDirector of Orthopaedics and Plastic surgery at Wexham Park Hospital. Currently I am anexaminer for FRCS (Orth) examination and a member of the Scientific committee of BritishOrthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.I do undertake Medico Legal work both in injury compensation and medical negligence. Ihave attended an Expert witness course, medical negligence courses.
