He handled several important assignments during his 21 year stint at TCS including, heading the Oracle Practice & solutions group for six years, Product Development, sales and Marketing for SME segment for four years and Head of Global Alliances for a brief period. He built key relationships with partners like Oracle, Microsoft, HP, IBM, Nortel, SUN and developed a joint Go-to-market both in India and globally .As a head of India Business unit for TCS he successfully steered the growth of India business well over the industry average over span of over 7 years . Some of his key contributions to TCS ‘s leadership in India has been crafting a well thought out strategy to leverage TCS assets and solutions and combining them with System integration and service capability . He helped TCS regain its footprint in the BFSI vertical with large Core banking wins . He also oversaw TCS’s ascent in newer verticals like utilities and energy by leveraging global expertise As with changing market conditions he successfully devised a strategy for entry of TCS in into emerging verticals like infrastructure like ports, shipping ,airports,railways. He is well connected with the CXO community and regularly interacts with Top CEO’s of the ET 500 companies and has built a personal relationship with a number of CXO’s .
