- Designed and led the development of highly available and scalable RBAC for the platform.- Spearheaded the on premises database(couchbase) migration to AWS for authorization system making it completely cloud native with zero downtime- Architected and led the development of criteria engine to implement data scoping across the platform.- Ensured high throughput for the authorization systems to support thousands of API calls per second with 95th Percentile API latency < 10ms.- Implemented database sharding in mysql to support multi tenancy in AWS RDS.- Defined schema for elasticache cluster to support sharding to easily scale the nodes horizontally.- Wrote the API specification for the authorization services and worked closely with other platform services teams for adoption.- Implemented kinesis based fault tolerant streaming system to support near real time authorization updates across the platform.- Worked closely with the product owner and solution architects to design high level architecture, flow diagrams for the new features.- Worked with stakeholders for identifying the features, prioritization, implementation and delivery.- Lead the engineers to write well instrumented code and developed kibana/datadog dashboard and monitors to be used by the support engineers. This led to reduction of number of critical issues and MTTR- Integrated integration tests, performance tests and reporting as part of jenkins pipeline to ensure quality in each and every release.- Ensured code quality by performing regular code/PR reviews and improved the overall unit test coverage to 95%.
