Elite Consulting Group is a staffing and recruiting company within the Engineering and Manufacturing industry. As office manager, I performed various tasks such as order entry, invoicing, and providing reports to management on a biweekly basis. Due to my experiences with Excel, I was able to create reports showing resource allocation and purchase order status. I frequently updated the cash flow analysis report based on outstanding Accounts Receivables and expenses to effectively manage the company's operational cash flow.

My second internship at Scotts allowed me to analyze a different department of the business; Supply Chain. I explored the ERP system SAP and navigated through various views such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to understand specific amounts to produce and procure at the individual component level. I also gained exposure to the software JDA, where I analyzed reports to suggest a least-cost option based on transportation costs, stock-out costs, and restocking costs for external product warehouses. This internship allowed me to see first-hand how supply chain affects all areas of the company and how important it is to companies in the CPG industry.I also lead as a Business Analyst for a CIO-initated project to create an E-commerce platform for Business Transformation (IT) associates. I aided in requirement gathering, informing leadership on the current status of the project, and creating test scripts while using Agile methodologies.

During my time at Scotts, I had the opportunity to serve as a project manager for the intern team. In this role, I lead 12 interns on a CIO-initiated project to help the Marysville Distribution Center automate their trailer tracking system. I also lead a project to continue feature implementations for a current system in place for Scotts R&D biologists to easily locate their trials and maintained cost responsibility while producing high-quality deliverables.Giving frequent project updates to leadership allowed me to improve upon my public speaking skills. I was also able to improve upon my communication skills by meeting with the Product Owner on a weekly basis to help build requirements for the project. This gave me the opportunity to work with an Agile methodology and put to use the software development life cycle by gathering requirements and transforming them into user stories. At the end of the internship, I had to present and demonstrate the final build of the two applications developed by the intern team to the Business Transformation (IT) organization of ~200 people.

During my time at Hobby Lobby, I was a Customer Service Representative who responded to customer's needs in person and through other forms of media. I also assisted associates in stocking shelves, ordering inventory, and identifying prices on an as needed basis. While processing all types of payments and handling customer's needs, I was very successful at maintaining excellent customer service.

The Resident Scholar Program is a unique job shadowing experience for students who are interested in careers within the STEM field. I was 1 out of 25 selected candidates of 2100 women and minority applicants for the program. This week-long program exposed STEM technologies in the workplace at various business units throughout Cincinnati. During the program, peers were encouraged to solve business problems and promote new products their team developed and present these ideas to P&G management.
