In my role as Chief of the Boat (COB), I report directly to the Commanding Officer, orally or by written report. I spearhead end-to-end duties while ensuring smooth execution of all tasks; supervise certain activities affecting the crew as a whole. I serve as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Officer. I plan, execute, and assess all aspects of operations, training, and professional development. I work with other agencies to develop executable plans and ensure all tasks execute as per defined timelines with right resources. I ensure the command is aware of existing or potential situations, procedures, and practices which affect the welfare, morale, job satisfaction, and utilization of its enlisted members. I partner with the Executive officer to develop plan to maximize efficiency of meeting, training, and maintenance. I lead, train, guide, and mentor crew of 168 sailors while ensuring best practice workmanship.My Key Success in This Role:-Championed the rank of top COB in the Squadron and hand selected to take on the Moored training ship Conversion project.-Encouraged the sailors to continue to improve through advancement and personally through college which resulted in 71 sailors advanced and 27 achieved an Associate's degree or higher.-Headed pilot program to allow submarine to be the first ever to allow submarine sailors to achieve special Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) to work depot level work; 11 sailors achieved special NEC's.-Developed the top Chief's Quarter's in the squadron amongst 9 other submarines with over half of the Chiefs being ranked as the top in the Squadron for their area of expertise.

As Repair and Planning Department Supervisor, I oversaw end-to-end facets, including maintenance and repair on dry deck shelters to support USSOCOM missions and forward deployed combatant commanders. I ensured all personnel possess knowledge of requirements for Oxygen clean work and scope of certification quality assurance, enabling the department to conduct work on critical diver life support equipment with zero rework or discrepancies. I managed the multifarious industrial combat support complex and lead the repair, quality assurance and planning divisions. I planned and executed operations and activities involving 5 different agencies to include Dry-Deck Shelter onloads and offloads, certifications and 9 oversee availabilities. I defined, developed, and executed plan to conduct first ever major availability in the tight fiscal environment. My Key Success in This Role:-Introduced and developed a centralized database to capture logistic and process improvements.-Deployed cross qualification program allowing the department to become more productive by tutoring mechanical and electrical workers on how to conduct quality assurance inspections and write technical procedures by reviewing technical manuals and drawings as well as teaching the planners how to do the maintenance.

I was responsible for steering the execution of all activities while assuring safe operation and maintenance of Auxiliary systems and equipment. I volunteered to take on the job coordinating all maintenance for the ship prior to an extended overseas deployment in absence of the ships Maintenance, Material Management Coordinator (3MC). I trained, tutored, and mentored new crew members about the submarine allowing them to have the knowledge to earn their submarine dolphins. Identified the issues and resolved them. I maintained the standards for my division and the ship, epitomizing the Navy's core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.My Key Success in This Role:-Won the top chief on board 2 years in a row.-Recommended to be a COB by the Captain.-Division received the "DC" award for being the best division 2 consecutive years in a row.-Designed training plans for the division as well as the training for the ship on challenging ships control missions and operations.
