Ram is a 3D design and production engineer (B-Tech Mechanical Engineering) who is applying digital manufacturing technology to support local innovators solve problems locally in context of Nepal. He has been working on 3D filament production from recycled waste plastic with the support from GEF SGP of UNDP and using it to produce prototype products for social, educational and commercial purposes. Some of the work performed by Ram is design and development of opensource medical devices for earthquake affected health post in Nepal with Field Ready Org, development of 3D printed mold for production of energy efficient fire stove burner for Matribhumi Urja, spares and repairs to support innovators and young engineers. Ram is a former design and production engineer at Field Ready Org, Program advisor at Matribhumi Urja (ICS company) and a co-founder of Zener Technologies.
